Another pose of two of my three daughters.  They are fun to paint because they are truly model material!  Funny how their body language denotes which child they are even without facial
features, which is somewhat of a signature of my figures.  They are engrossed in something.  Maybe it's showing off an engagement ring or a new mani.   Nevertheless, we were shopping in Austin and I asked them to pose.  They are getting used to this now after balking about it for a long time.  I think they think they ARE models and good ones!

Looking Out to Sea, Beach Scene, Mother and Child on Beach, Seascape Art, Seascape Paintings, Colorado Artist Carol Hein

12 by 9 inch original oil painting.

I just shipped this painting to Labrador Lifeline, an organization that aids purebred Labrador Retrievers in need of new homes, urgent medical care or other assistance in order to live full and productive lives. You can view their website here:
labradorlifeline.org.

If the picture sells at their auction I will also donate $4.70 to the American Heart Association's Go Red program.

Someone asked if I have a painting partner. Yes, I do sometimes paint with other artists but most of the time Tank and Tucker are my "partners", never criticizing - just patiently waiting for their walk.

To purchase a print contact Carol at:

How many artists paint a painting and then call it a self portrait after the fact?  Well... it could be me or it could be you or it could be your best friend.  That's the fun of the figurative paintings I do without features.  Please forgive the irregular outline of the gold (still trying to perfect my photography!)  I do like the gold around the edges - a painted frame.  I used 'Rub n Buff', a product I use a lot that comes in a little tube that really isn't to be used as paint in a painting, but to me it works great in so many ways.  So what's her name anyway?

"Waitin' on the Ladies" By Giselle McMenamin

"Waitin' on the Ladies" oil on canvas 11x14"

This is a piece I finished today. Another from my beach series. Thought these two gents were curious chatting away while the chairs on either side of them sat empty. I guess they were waiting on their lady friends. Did tons of reworking on this one. Must have changed the color of the sand 4 times! Hoping I got the values right.

Who are they?  Are they
leaving each other, reuniting,
or merely ruminating?
You decide.
