 This Figurative painting below started out as an abstract work on a 30" x 24" canvas. After a while, I pulled it out and decided to paint over it. I typically can see faces and figures in abstract works; and here is what I found hiding in this one.

Composition was inspired by a charcoal sketch I did in a life drawing workshop. It is interesting to see the way light plays around the human form and I try to capture this in my work. The sides are painted on this Gallery Wrap work and it has been wired on the back, ready to hang.
