Shep "Work In Progress" Nears Completion!

Shep is near completion on his newest Figurative work and just had to share it.  This 15" x 30" Gallery Wrapped oil painting was started as a demonstration piece at The Lake Houston Area Artists monthly meeting, and from the beginning it went together very well.  Most of the painting still to be completed involves finishing the gold embroidery on the teal robe.

This all started with a tube of gold metallic paint from Ralph's Art Supply in Melbourne. I needed an exotic subject so I could use the gold. You can't really appreciate the metallic quality looking at it online, but I used it in the medallion on the turban, the earring, and the cloth on her shoulder. I liked the result so much that I'm going to do more.
