To start my process, I usually draw with transparent red oxide paint right on the canvas. It is transparent and erases easily with turp. It also creates a nice warm undertone to the paintings, whether, figure, landsape or whatever. Check my daily blog at http://www.oilsbyjanice.blogspot.com/
